Summary:
A bit about us : We are two friendly, easygoing Seattle families who have quickly become friends and are excited to find a wonderful nanny to care for our two baby boys, who were born just one day apart in May! Care will alternate weekly between our two homes in the same 98118 neighborhood, just minutes from one another. We are active, community-oriented families who love walks, the outdoors, reading, good food, travel, and spending time with the people we love. We value a nurturing, low-screen approach to childhood and hope to encourage curiosity through books, real-world play, fresh air, and plenty of interaction. Most importantly, we want our nanny to feel like a trusted partner in our babies’ care and development as they grow together.

A bit about you : You are a warm, energetic, safety-conscious infant caregiver who genuinely enjoys keeping little ones engaged and helping them reach new milestones. You are a strong communicator who is comfortable sharing updates and photos throughout the day and appreciates working with parents who love to communicate, too! Because these little guys are essentially twins in age (born one day apart), you have relevant experience caring for twins, multiples, or children of similar ages at the same time; experience in a nanny share or busy preschool/childcare setting could also be a great fit. You enjoy reading to babies, getting outside, playing with real toys, and finding creative, screen-free ways to nurture their development. You are also active and mobile enough to confidently manage two babies and a stroller through a wonderfully walkable (but hilly) Seattle neighborhood.

What You’ll Do : Your days will center on providing attentive, loving care for two infants, including bottles/feedings, naps, diapering, playtime, reading, walks, and age-appropriate developmental activities. You’ll help both babies establish healthy rhythms and routines while remaining responsive to their individual needs, including supporting consistent sleep routines as their schedules continue to develop. As the babies begin solids, the families would love someone comfortable preparing fresh, age-appropriate foods and creatively introducing them to new flavors and textures. You’ll encourage milestones through hands-on, analog play, books, outdoor time, and plenty of nurturing interaction rather than screens. Start Date: October 19th (with one family), Second week of November (with both families)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, approximately 7:30/8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
Pay: $38-42

You’ll be a great fit for this nanny job if you have :

• 3+ years of hands on infant experience
• Infant care experience is required, along with relevant experience caring for twins, multiples, similarly aged children, or multiple young children at one time. Candidates coming from a preschool or childcare environment with experience managing multiple children are welcome.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• The families require their nanny to be up to date on baby-related vaccinations, including Tdap, flu, COVID-19, MMR.
• Candidates must be comfortable working around two large, energetic, baby-loving dogs, although no pet care is required.
• Glowing references from recent nanny positions.
  
  

Set yourself apart : You’ll really stand out if you have previous nanny-share or twin infant experience and are confident balancing the individual needs and schedules of two babies at the same developmental stage. A strong understanding of infant milestones, sleep routines, and introducing solids would be especially valuable. These families would also love someone who enjoys preparing fresh foods for babies and can make mealtime exploration fun as they grow. An active caregiver who loves books, outdoor adventures, walks, and creative screen-free play will fit beautifully into both households. French language skills would be an exciting bonus, but are absolutely not required.

Working Conditions and Requirements:

• Work environment will be active, kid-centric and includes clean up of activities
• Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play
• Essential Physical Requirements:
  • Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
  • Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
  • Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
  • May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
