Retail Sales Associate - Golf Clubs

Overview 15.00 – 17.00 USD per hour. PGA TOUR Superstore is seeking enthusiastic, self‑motivated, flexible individuals to join our Hard Goods team. Position Summary Reporting to the Sales and Service Manager, the Hard Goods Associate engages customers in the Simulators, Putting Green, Club Repair, and Accessories areas, driving sales and enhancing the customer experience. The role includes front‑end operations such as returns, exchanges, and promotions while maintaining high visual merchandising standards and a clean, operational environment. Key Responsibilities Engage every customer and offer world‑class service by leveraging PGA TOUR Service behaviors. Build lasting relationships that keep customers returning. Seek out and engage customers throughout the Hard Goods areas. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of front‑end operations (returns, exchanges, gift cards, lesson redemptions, loyalty programs, discounts, promotions, coupons). Ensure merchandise presence at premier stock and visual levels to drive sales and customer experience. Keep Hard Goods areas clean, professional, and fully operational. Demonstrate in‑depth product knowledge of golf clubs and explain features, benefits, and differences. Execute proper customer fittings in accordance with PGA TOUR Superstore trained fitting techniques. Promote ethical conduct, safety, and compliance across all departments. Assist customers with club fitting, including selecting the right shaft, grip, and specifications. Stay current on merchandising promotions and marketing events to maintain a strong presence throughout the promotion cycle. Champion product and service offerings, informing, educating, and promoting them to customers. Provide consistent feedback to the Sales and Service Manager on operational and merchandising opportunities. Qualifications and Skills Communication: Strong listening, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills; able to communicate cross‑functionally. Computer: Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Organization: Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Retail sales, customer service, or similar experience preferred. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Must be able to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, move throughout the store, and lift a 30‑lb box overhead. Schedule Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Business Acumen Ability to learn business concepts quickly with appropriate training. Accountability Demonstrate strong self‑accountability and a proactive drive for results.
