Substitute Bus Driver

Location: North Brunswick, NJ 08902 Compensation: $30/h 1099 Independent Contractor

We are seeking dependable Substitute Bus Drivers to safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities across the district. Bus drivers play a crucial role in ensuring students arrive safely and on time.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with School Bus endorsement
• Safe driving record and ability to pass a background check
• Ability to manage student behavior on the bus and ensure a safe environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must pass required criminal history background check and drug/alcohol screening

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes, including morning, afternoon, and field trips
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers at all times
• Follow district schedules and assigned routes
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Manage student behavior in a calm and professional manner
• Report any accidents, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly
• Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation policies and regulations
