Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate nursing excellence, compassion, and a commitment to providing the highest quality care in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement effective patient care plans.
• Interact with patients and families to deliver information and alleviate concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in continued education and training initiatives as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting.
• Current RN license valid in the state of North Carolina.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Experience in a high-volume Emergency Department (ED) with a minimum of 100,000 visits per year preferred.
