Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse (RN) position located in Petosky, Michigan. This role involves providing specialized care for obstetric patients, including labor, delivery, and postpartum care, within a well-established and collegial team of healthcare providers. The position offers a steady patient flow from a large primary service area and requires adherence to a strict attendance policy beginning June 1, 2024.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: Every other weekend, with potential to do every third weekend
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (AHA), STABLE
  • Education/Experience: 3+ years of obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) experience; experience with labor delivery (LD); familiarity with CoupletCare and stabilization; pediatrics experience preferred; travel experience preferred
  • Licenses: State license in Michigan
• Additional Information:
  • The facility has a strict 3 strike attendance policy effective 06/01/2024; absences or being more than 20 minutes late three times will result in immediate termination unless supported by extenuating circumstances such as communicable disease or hospitalization
  • The travel nurse is not eligible for shift incentives
  • The traveler must make up any call-ins within the contract time frame
  • Flexibility to float to any area for which the nurse is qualified
