Work Environment This position will be primarily onsite, providing home care services directly to patients in the Saint Petersburg area. Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist at Better Everyday Clinic, your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting initial consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions, injuries, and mobility challenges. Diagnosing movement dysfunctions and collaborating with patients to create individualized treatment plans aimed at helping them reach their recovery goals. Teaching patients correct therapeutic techniques and exercises, demonstrating effective movements, and ensuring proper form to avoid injury and promote healing. Administering physical therapies such as massage, heat therapy, or electrical stimulation to alleviate pain and speed recovery. Providing guidance on the use of assistive devices, like wheelchairs or walkers, enhancing the patient's independence and safety. Maintaining comprehensive and accurate patient records to track progress, set future goals, and make necessary adjustments in treatment approaches. Advising patients and their families on in-home treatment options, exercises, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing recovery. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will directly impact a varied patient clientele, including children and adults, with conditions ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Fostering respectful and empathetic relationships with patients and their families is key to instilling trust and facilitating effective care. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. A valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida. Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and their families. Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records systems. Flexibility and adaptability in managing different patient needs and treatment scenarios. Preferred Experience While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, recent graduates with a strong desire to learn and grow in a supportive environment are encouraged to apply.
