Phlebotomist

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist with over two years of experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and computer skills. This position offers the potential to become a permanent role within a renowned diagnostic company. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service while performing skilled specimen collections. Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Accurately enter patient information into the system in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain logs of patient and specimen information. Carry out administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Essential Skills Phlebotomy certification Proficiency in blood drawing and specimen collection Strong customer service skills Competent in data entry and computer operations Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work independently and professionally Experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous Work Environment The work schedule is from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, in a professional setting where you will be working independently. The role involves routine lab work primarily with patients ranging from teenagers to geriatrics. The environment can get busy in the mornings with a volume of 25-30 patients per day. You will need to be self-sufficient as you will often work alone. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wake Forest, NC. The work is fully onsite. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $22.00/hr.
