About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in ICU License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: 1-2 years of ICU experience Description: This role involves providing critical care to patients in an intensive care setting. The unit consists of 26 beds and is supported by a team of skilled staff. On the day shift, there is 1 charge RN, 1 rapid response RN, and 8 bedside RNs. The night shift maintains the same staffing structure. Patient ratios are typically 1:2. Key equipment used in the unit includes mechanical ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, EKOS, and EMR systems. Typical procedures performed in the unit include intubation, bedside ECMO cannulation, chest tube insertion, bedside tracheostomy, and central line insertions. The ideal candidate will be accountable for their actions and demonstrate professionalism. Every other weekend shift is required, and agencies are not placed on call.
