Senior Network Engineer – USA, VA, Langley AFB Responsibilities Support Coalition Integration Lab's engineering and testing requirements Support and deploy US BICES bi‑lat systems and networking Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for business objectives and processes Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues Design and define network architecture for new or existing computer systems Perform complex network development and design work Participate in upgrading operating systems and designing network enhancements Provide input for documentation on new and existing networks Develop and conduct tests to ensure networks meet documented user requirements Identify, analyze, and resolve network problems Provide network, equipment, and specialized training and technical guidance Determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility May provide guidance and leadership to less‑experienced systems engineers Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned Participate in special projects as assigned May be required for short‑term deployments to AFRICOM AOR Required Qualifications 5+ years of related Network Engineering experience Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance BA/BS degree (additional years of experience may substitute) Completed CCNA certification Must meet DOW 8140 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for elevated‑privilege positions Must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire Knowledge and experience with data center networking Ability to configure and troubleshoot multicast Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets Understanding of network virtualization Basic understanding of Broadcom's NSX‑T Knowledge and experience with F5‑OS and F5 BIG‑IP LTM and APM Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning‑Tree, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.) Knowledge and experience with HAIPE‑based encryption devices Knowledge and experience with maintaining COMSEC accounts Knowledge and experience with Juniper JUNOS software and hardware Knowledge and experience with Cisco IOS, IOS‑XE and NXOS software and hardware Knowledge and experience with Firepower Management Center and Firepower Threat Defense Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels Team‑oriented, collaborative environment; efficient in a fast‑paced environment; strong prioritization; autonomous work; excellent communication skills; attention to detail; results‑driven Preferred Qualifications Completed any Cisco Advanced certifications Completed any Juniper Advanced certifications Knowledge of VMware, Citrix, Microsoft virtualization technologies Knowledge of automation technologies for networking (Ansible/Python) Understanding of VMware Data Center Virtualization Fundamentals Understanding of VxRail Manager and best practices VDI experience highly desired Benefits Salary range: $89,250 – $120,750 (based on experience and location) 40 weekly hours; less than 10% travel; onsite telecommuting Medical, dental, vision plans, and Health Savings Accounts 401(k) plan with company match Paid time off: vacation, sick, personal, holidays, parental, military, bereavement, jury duty Short‑ and long‑term disability, life, accidental death, accident insurance, and business travel insurance Location USA, VA – Langley Air Force Base; short‑term deployments to AFRICOM AOR may be required.
