We are located in the heart of Albuquerque on the 3rd floor of Gibson Medical Center. Position Summary We are seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse, RN for Days with ICU/Step‑down experience. You will supervise the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs, communicate with physicians, the CCO, and staff about changes in a patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, foster a positive milieu in the hospital, keep the CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place the facility at risk, and provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity. Shift Differentials are paid for all weekend shifts. Job Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico. Acute care experience is preferred. Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding nursing. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification. Able to read and communicate effectively in English. Must be able to articulate, interpret, and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication. Additional languages desirable. Detailed computer knowledge. Possess excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
