About This Role This role serves as an adjunct faculty member for the AHN Schools of Nursing, responsible for the clinical instruction of nursing students. It is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. Highlights Location: Tarentum, PA Schedule: Part-time What You'll Do Explore creative and innovative teaching strategies on the clinical unit. Provide quality instruction to groups of students and individuals. Document students’ progress and set goals with didactic faculty leaders. Support continuous learning by sharing research and teaching materials. Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives. Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and healthcare team members. Serve as a role model of professional nursing practice for students. Provide leadership and mentoring in a professional practice setting. Share knowledge and skills with peers and colleagues. Practice solid communication skills to articulate patient care and conditions. Requirements Education: Master’s degree in nursing required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical area of direct responsibility. Preferred 2 years of teaching experience in a school of nursing. Licenses & Certifications: Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
