Full-Time Deli Grill Cook

Prepare products including a variety of vegetables, sauces, and main meals (may involve handling pork). Fill and rotate cases and displays with food products (may involve lifting up to 50 lbs). Plate prepared foods under Kitchen / Deli Manager’s guidance. Work with servers and other employees to ensure orders are completed according to requests. Prepare and cook menu items on the grill to order, ensuring proper temperature and presentation. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure food is ready on time and in the correct order. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Track dates on open and closed products. Adhere to portion controls and waste reduction guidelines. Work as part of a dedicated team that arrives promptly for shifts and works as scheduled. Qualifications Friendly and outgoing; promotes customer service for the team. Experience working in a restaurant. Knowledge of fried chicken, pizza, and safe meal preparation. Motivated to grow career and continue learning. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; push or pull 500–1500 lbs. Familiarity with equipment operation: scanner, register, scale, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, pallet jack, high‑boy cart, box cutter, tongs, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, roaster, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, pizza oven, coffee pot, cleaning utensils. Strong judgment, decision‑making, social skills, verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, and math abilities. Environmental tolerance to hot and cold temperatures, hot equipment, and cooking oil. Job Demands Frequent physical activity: lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling 500–1500 lbs, walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting. Frequent heavy lifting: lifting/carrying over 50 lbs and crawling for at least ten repetitions per shift (≈15% of the shift). Occasional lifting/activities for less than 15% of the shift or fewer than ten repetitions per shift.
