Premium Auditor - For Workers Compensation Insurance

This position is based in Coral Gables, Florida. Local candidates with bookkeeping knowledge and exceptional analytical skills would be suitable for this role. Applicants must be able to work on-site.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing audit results with underwriters, insureds, and Premium Audit leadership. Identifying opportunities to resolve discrepancies; reviewing certificates of insurance and determining which class codes apply to specific risk exposures; reviewing claims activity on insurance policies to ensure the employee class code is consistent and accurate; and providing effective customer service throughout the life cycle of the Premium Audit functions.

Responsibilities

• Successfully meet customer and company time service standards
• Reviews results of audits with underwriters, insureds, and Premium Audit leadership. Identifies opportunities to resolve discrepancies.
• Reviews certificates of insurance and determines which class codes apply to specific exposures. Reviews claim activity on policies to ensure that employee coding is consistent/accurate.
• Provides effective Customer Service throughout the life cycle of Premium Audit functions.
• Maintains current knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to jurisdictions and ensures correct and consistent application.
• Intermediate or advanced computer and typing skills, including Excel, email, and internet applications.
• Return telephone voicemails on time.
• Maintain a clean email inbox.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of insurance experience in Florida Workers’ Compensation Coverage (Preferred but not required)
• Ability to provide an exceptional and effective customer service
• Strong attention to detail
• Bookkeeping experience
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Bilingual, English /Spanish (Preferred but not required)
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information
• Excellent time management skills
