Position Overview
We are seeking a handson Superintendent to lead daytoday field operations on commercial construction projects, with an emphasis on tenant improvement (TI) work. The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating trades, maintaining schedule and quality standards, enforcing safety, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Ideal candidates will have experience with office space and lab TI projects and a track record of successful field leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily field activities to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trade partners, and onsite labor; communicate expectations and resolve conflicts to maintain production flow.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and change orders; ensure work complies with design intent and contract documents.
• Develop and maintain daily reports, progress logs, equipment and material tracking, and communication with project management.
• Implement and enforce site safety programs and OSHA requirements; conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and incident reporting.
• Monitor schedule performance, identify risks and bottlenecks, and propose recovery plans to keep projects on track.
• Manage material deliveries, onsite storage, and logistics to minimize delays and protect project assets.
• Oversee quality control, conduct regular inspections and punch lists, and coordinate corrective actions through closeout.
• Support project closeout activities including asbuilt documentation, warranties, turnover packages, and final inspections.
• Mentor and lead field crews, promote a collaborative jobsite culture, and coordinate with owners, architects, and engineers as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of superintendent or lead field foreman experience on commercial construction projects; demonstrated experience with Tenant Improvement (TI) work required.
• Proven experience managing office space TI and lab TI projects strongly preferred.
• Proficient reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and construction documents; comfortable directing trade scopes based on drawings and RFIs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills; ability to build positive relationships with subcontractors, owners, and design teams.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling principles, quality control, and site safety practices (OSHA 10 or 30 preferred).
• Experience with project management and field reporting software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam) is preferred.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between job sites as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, technical training, or constructionrelated degree and certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, lift frequently, and perform site walks in varying weather and conditions.
