What we’re looking for:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience with ASD or in self-contained special education settings preferred
• Understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
• Adaptability and patience in dynamic classroom environments
• Commitment to building a positive, supportive atmosphere for all learners

What you’ll do:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students in an ASD classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with the educational team
• Modify curriculum to address diverse learning styles and needs
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and behavioral supports to maximize student engagement and progress
• Engage in regular communication with parents, caregivers, and related service providers
• Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
