Title
Labor & Delivery - Postpartum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required
- Valid CA license required
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Hard requirement: prior labor and postpartum experience Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide labor support and assistance with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Monitor fetal well-being through external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC use.
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and provide newborn care and breastfeeding support.
- Manage conditions such as postpartum hemorrhage and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia.
- Administer medications and manage epidural/post-operative recovery.
- Participate in rapid response and code teams, and administer blood products as necessary. Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Facility may cancel once per two-week pay period
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Pre-approved time off: 1 (per contract)
- Traveler will be required to float to postpartum and/or sister facilities.
- 50-mile radius rule applies; can only be submitted to 1 location within the region.
