Biology Expert

The primary goal of this position is to make scientific contributions to the R&D group by performing and analyzing experiments for the support and expansion of client in vitro nucleic acid delivery technology and other products or applications. Client is establishing the future of science and medicine by developing products that enable product developers within the cell and gene therapy space. Minimum education: Associates or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology or related field. Previous lab experience is preferred. Execute and analyze laboratory experiments that support the development and application of new and existing transfection technologies and products. Perform cell biology experiments including transfections, flow cytometry, luciferase expression to expression exogenous proteins in cells in vitro and make recombinant viruses such as lentivirus and adeno-associated virus (AAV). Supporting molecular biology experiments including ELISAs, Lumits, and qPCR/ddPCR. Attend, present data, and participate in discussions at R&D group meetings. Maintain a detailed electronic laboratory notebook in a timely manner. Interface and work amicably with other R&D and Production scientists in the development and commercialization of new transfection products. Adhere to Biological Safety Level 2 (BSL-2) guidelines and standard laboratory practices to create a safe laboratory environment. Conscientious operation of laboratory equipment, independent lab supply ordering, and general awareness and maintenance of laboratory cleanliness and organization. Share information with fellow employees. Build positive relationships during internal and external interactions.
