Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate efficient surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Monitor patient status and manage vital signs throughout surgical procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of instruments and supplies for surgeries.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding surgical processes and post-operative care.
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current with best practices in surgical nursing.

Schedule

This position offers 12-hour shifts with variable days for coverage, including weekends and holidays as required. The following shift times may be assigned:

• 0630 - 1900
• 0630 - 1900 with available on-call hours
• 0930 - 2200
• 1030 - 2300 with night on-call hours

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR RN; 3 years preferred with relevant surgical procedure experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS (preferred) and BCLS.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a surgical team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available for on-call duties as per the needs of the department.

Additional Information

The role guarantees that the facility can call off staff once per two-week pay period, and free parking is available for all staff members. This position accepts candidates who do not have a pending license.
