Accounting Specialist

Accounting ClerkWe have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented, and Excel-proficient Accounting Clerk to make an impact with our team in Romulus, MI.About DO & COWe have a passion for hospitality culinary delights on every elevated floor and in the sky. We refine the classics, develop the unknown and grow constantly – sometimes beyond our own expectations.Responsibilities:Records business transactions and keys daily worksheets onto the general ledger.Process invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.Enters, reviews, and verifies all entries put into the billing systems on a daily basis.Maintains filing systems as well as daily, weekly, and monthly reports.Utilize computer systems to run reporting, pay bills, and order supplies.Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.Post monthly deprecation and enter journal entries into the general ledger system.Assists accounts payable and billing department and perform other duties as assigned by the management.Qualifications:Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience.Bachelor's degree in accounting or working towards it.Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.Experience in hospitality, catering, or food service industry preferred.Knowledge of posting/reclassing journal entries.Knowledgeable in fixed asset depreciation.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and confidence.Strong knowledge of accounting systems, technologies, and financial reporting.Advanced mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Effective written and verbal communication abilities.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and diligent in follow-through.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under time and resource constraints.Proactive, entrepreneurial, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.Skilled in building relationships, handling sensitive issues, and applying tact and diplomacy.This person will be sitting at an office desk for most of the day.Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
