Radiology Technologist – Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center – Weekender Days Job Details Part‑time position (24 hours per week) scheduled for weekend days. Job Summary Performs radiographic examinations under the direction of a Radiologist, coordinating daily activities and associated clerical duties with minimal supervision. Major Responsibilities Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Documents patient history pertaining to a specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician. Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity. Prepares and administers contrast media as required. Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary. Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct anatomic positioning skills. Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards. Minimum Job Requirements Education: Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency recognized by ARRT in Radiologic Technology. Certification / License: Must be registry eligible with registry completion within one year of hire date. CPR certification required. Work Experience: Not specified. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates skills and competency appropriate to ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers, handling equipment and monitoring supplies. Must use good oral and written communication skills. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel while operating radiographic equipment. Must use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision. Vision and hearing required for distances up to 10 feet. May be exposed to walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and proximity to moving equipment; adaptable to changes in temperature and humidity. Compensation Base compensation within $28.55 – $42.85 per hour based on qualifications, skills, experience, and/or training. Includes premium pay such as shift, on‑call, and incentive pay where applicable; potential for annual increases based on performance.
