Hiring Incentive RN $3,200 and LPN $2,200 Location: Redfield, SD Salary: $26.52 - $40.16 hourly (RN $34.26 – $40.16; LPN $26.52 – $31.13), plus $2.00/hour shifts 7:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m. and $1.00/hour on weekends. Position: 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays. The RN and LPN will apply nursing principles, practices, and techniques in accordance with established healthcare procedures and standards. Licenses and Certifications Must hold or be eligible for a South Dakota Registered Nurse license (associate, bachelor's, or 3‑year diploma). All required certificates and tests must be obtained and completed. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working with adolescents or adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, or an educational background in psychology, sociology, counseling, or a related field. Knowledge Of Principles and techniques of patient care Hospital and clinic routine procedures IV therapy Use of medical equipment and supplies Basic human behavior principles Challenges and supervisory methods for individuals with developmental disabilities CPR and first aid Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques Patient rights Document completion and review Professional nursing theory and practices Recent developments in professional nursing applicable to the assignment area Clinical procedures Ability To Evaluate client behaviors, symptoms, and medication effects Follow directions and communicate effectively Prepare and maintain records, charts, and reports Apply nursing techniques as delegated by physicians or registered nurses Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients and staff Direct and monitor direct care personnel The position is eligible for Veterans’ preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
