Construction Project Manager (Delivery)

Job Summary The Construction Project Manager will oversee field construction and installation for commercial electric vehicle charging facilities, depot electrifications, and medium-to-high voltage power distribution systems that support GreenWealth Energy’s mission to expand clean transportation infrastructure. This role manages electrical contractors, coordinates utility interconnections, ensures strict compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards, and oversees testing, commissioning, and project closeout from pre-construction through utility energization. Duties and Responsibilities Stakeholder & Utility Relations Foster collaborative relationships with Owners, General Contractors, Electrical Subcontractors, Utilities, Electrical Engineers, EVSE OEMs, and Commissioning Teams. Facilitate effective technical communication between all project participants to proactively resolve site-level electrical conflicts and maintain project milestones. Act as the primary technical point of contact during utility, owner, and contractor coordination meetings to review electrical interconnections, schedules, safety, and risk mitigation strategies. Electrical & EV Infrastructure Oversight Provide day-to-day oversight of field electrical construction activities from pre-construction through utility energization and final closeout. Manage high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) site infrastructure installations, commercial EV charging hub developments, depot electrifications, and switchyard buildouts. Oversee site civil-electrical integration, trenching/conduit runs, transformer pads, switchgear installations, DC Fast Chargers (DCFC), Level 2 EVSE, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Coordinate installation of critical electrical distribution infrastructure, including unit substations, panelboards, power metering, and load management systems. Review electrical contractor work plans, single-line diagrams (SLDs), construction schedules, site logistics, electrical means and methods, and electrician manpower allocations. Monitor electrical contractor productivity, schedule performance, and utility alignment to mitigate energization delays. Ensure all field construction complies with National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70), OSHA View phone number on click.appcast.io standards, local utility interconnect requirements, and project specifications. Support the Project Manager in managing scope, electrical procurement lead times, budget, and site risk. Prepare daily field reports documenting electrical progress, headcount, utility updates, inspections, and field observations. Verify contractor progress for payment applications against completed electrical milestones (e.g., conduit in ground, gear set, cable pulled, energized). Resolve constructability issues, switchgear field conflicts, and engineering clarifications efficiently. Safety & Commissioning Enforce strict electrical safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash Safety, and Zero-Energy verification procedures. Coordinate closely with commissioning agents, utility inspectors, and EV software integration teams during equipment startup, energization, and system acceptance. Support substantial completion, electrical punch list resolution, utility meter set coordination, owner training, and turnover of functional EV charging assets. Qualifications Experience: 2–5 years of experience in construction management, utility/power distribution projects, or electrical trades. (Relevant internships, co-ops, or apprentice training count heavily here.) Knowledge of applicable building codes, OSHA regulations, quality management systems, and construction best practices. Basic awareness of jobsite safety standards (e.g., OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification is a strong plus). Strong written and verbal communication skills for tracking RFIs, coordinating with sub-contractors, and drafting daily site logs. EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) awareness or OSHA 10/30. Willingness to travel up to 100% based on project assignments.
