Description

American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of X-Ray experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Work in the Imaging department of a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma Center designation
• Afternoon shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week totaling 40 hours
• Every other weekend required
• Possible on-call requirements
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience required
• BLS and ARRT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Traveler experience preferred

Additional Information

• Set up, monitor, and operate diagnostic imaging equipment for patient procedures
• Position and transfer patients using proper safety and lifting techniques
• Obtain patient history and screen for allergies prior to procedures
• Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously as protocolled by Radiologist
• Maintain image quality and perform daily equipment calibration and quality control
• Assist Radiologists and physicians with specialized radiological procedures
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond to emergencies including basic CPR
• Maintain cleanliness of work environment and department supply inventory
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates living within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rate
• No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered
