As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol Driver in Katy, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial property. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building exteriors, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, following site procedures for visitor, contractor, and delivery access. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security‑related observations. Minimum Requirements At least one year of security‑related experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
