This role involves coordinating with various parties including carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destinationCoordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goodsTrack shipments and provide updates to customers as neededPrepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperworkEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade lawsManage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer serviceEducational background / Work experience:Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferredExperience in ocean imports is highly desirableSkills & Competencies:Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and ratesOther Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes:Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulationsUnderstanding of trade laws and regulationsLanguage skills:Fluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer Literacy:Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is preferredAt-Will Employment: DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
