Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the vibrant region near Des Plaines, IL. This full-time, itinerant position offers the chance to work across multiple school sites, engaging with students from Pre-K through transition-age (up to 22) and making a meaningful difference in their educational journey.

As a valued member of the special education team, you'll collaborate with occupational therapists and educational staff to deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions. This dynamic, on-site role involves traveling between elementary, middle, and high school campuses, with 35–37.5 hours of work each week (schedules vary by school assignment). Your expertise will support diverse learners' independence, participation, and success in the school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Demonstrated school-based or pediatric experience is highly desirable
• Flexibility and adaptability to support students at various campuses
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to completing the required fingerprinting and credentialing process promptly

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students under OT supervision, in line with educational goals
• Support educators in implementing strategies that foster students’ participation and independence
• Contribute to developing and updating individualized education plans (IEPs), collecting student progress data
• Travel between assigned school sites to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
