Position: Pediatric PACU RN
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
This position involves working in a pediatric post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Candidates should possess pediatric nursing experience and hold a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Position Details
- Floating: Yes, candidates may be required to float between units based on skill sets.
- On-call Requirement: No
- Weekend Requirements: No
- Block Schedules: No
- Patient Ratios: 1:1

- PALS certification required
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment

Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS*, BLS, PALS
- Experience with pediatric ambulatory/outpatient care and PACU, including general anesthesia
- Proficient in pain assessment and management
Patient Care Details
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents
- Daily Census: Approximately 12 visits
- Number of Rooms: 2
- Number of Beds: 15
Additional Information
The pediatric PACU provides care for patients in pre-operative and post-operative phases, primarily focused on outpatient surgical procedures across various specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, plastics, dental, and oral maxillofacial surgeries.
Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
