Precision Tool & Die Technician
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM

As a Precision Tool & Die Technician, you’ll support high-volume manufacturing by building, repairing, and improving the tooling and fixtures that make reliable output possible. You’ll join a team that prizes safety, exacting standards, and continuous improvement—while enjoying a steady four-day workweek.
A day in the lifeYou arrive to a clean, well-organized shop, review the production priorities, and jump into hands-on machining. One hour you’re rebuilding a worn fixture; the next, you’re diagnosing a die issue that’s creating downtime. You’ll coordinate with production to minimize interruptions, document your work, and look for ways to make each tool run better than before.
What you’ll do- Build, refurbish, and maintain production tooling, dies, and fixtures.
- Operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses to fabricate and repair precision parts.
- Diagnose mechanical problems that lead to failures or unplanned downtime and implement effective fixes.
- Adapt and refine tooling to boost efficiency, reliability, and repeatability.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to tight tolerances.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
- Accurately document repairs, maintenance tasks, and any tooling changes.
- Keep the workspace safe and orderly while following all safety protocols.
- 3+ years as a machinist in manufacturing, tool & die, or maintenance.
- Hands-on proficiency with manual mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
- Ability to interpret prints and hold machining tolerances.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical school training or completion of a machining apprenticeship.
- Background in tooling design modifications and process improvement.
- Knowledge of heat treatment methods and material properties.
