Description This is a contract, on-site position designed for a physician who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care. As a Locum Urology physician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall success of our medical practice, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, evidence-based care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive urological care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up management. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures related to urological conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care. Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency urological care as needed. Stay current with advances in urology and incorporate best practices into clinical care. Maintain compliance with all medical, ethical, and regulatory standards. Provide guidance and supervision to medical residents, fellows, and support staff when applicable. Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification or board eligibility in Urology is required. Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Minnesota. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urology, with a strong foundation in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Demonstrated expertise in urological surgical procedures and minimally invasive techniques.Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and clinical decision‑making skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced medical practice environment. Commitment to providing high‑quality, compassionate patient care. Must be available for on‑site work in Winona and willing to comply with contract assignment requirements. Flexible Schedule: 8‑hour shifts No call requirement Setting: Clinic and OR Patient Volume: 30-35 per day Procedure Types: Bread and butter Support Staff: Nurses, clerical support, 3 OB/GYNs, 1 PA EMR: Oracle Health Cerner Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr
