The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication, welding, assembly, print reading, and fitting. You must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled facility.What is the role?Perform fabrication operations according to engineering drawings and production schedulesRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructionsFit and assemble fabricated components to required specifications and tolerancesOperate saws and cutting equipment to prepare materials for fabricationPerform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as requiredAssemble fabricated products and subassemblies accurately and efficiently.Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are metSafely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and finished productsMaintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standardsAssist with inventory management and material handling activities within the warehouseReport equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards to shop foreman and/or quality inspectorOther duties as assignedDoes this sound like you?High school diploma or GED preferredMinimum 2 years of fabrication or manufacturing experienceDemonstrated experience in: Welding (MIG,TIG and/or Stick), saws/material cutting and operations, mechanical assembly, fitting/fabrication, blueprint/drawing reading.Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranesKnowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practicesAbility to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and micrometersAbility to perform all work in accordance with established company proceduresAbility to lift up to 50LBS, walk, climb, use various equipment and perform physical work throughout the shiftStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityForklift certification (preferred)Overhead crane certification (preferred)Welding certification (preferred)Experience in a lean manufacturing environment (preferred)Candidates should possess strong welding, fabrication, fitting, and assembly skills, with the ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate understands safe material handling practices, demonstrates effective problem-solving and communication abilities, and can work successfully both independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement is essential. This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must be comfortable working around industrial noise, welding fumes, and moving equipment, while adhering to established safety protocols. The ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and overhead lifting equipment is required.Don't meet every single requirement?
