Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Program Leader

A day in the role

You begin with a plant walk-through—observing work practices, checking critical controls, and engaging with team members. You review audit findings, finalize corrective actions from a recent incident investigation, and meet with operations leaders to align on risk-reduction priorities. In the afternoon, you facilitate contractor onboarding training, update regulatory reports, and prepare a dashboard highlighting leading and lagging indicators.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures tailored to the plant environment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, applicable environmental regulations, and internal company standards.
• Plan and conduct safety audits, inspections, and formal risk assessments to identify and control hazards.
• Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Deliver engaging safety training programs for employees and contractors, improving awareness and competency.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation, compliance records, and performance reporting metrics.
• Partner with leadership to promote continuous improvement across the workplace and strengthen a safety-first culture.

What you bring

• Must have worked in Automotive or Heavy Manufacturing Plant Environment.
• Proven ability to influence at all levels and translate regulations into practical, effective programs.
