Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Fort Wayne, IN, working in a hospital cardiovascular operating room. You will function as a member of the cardiac surgical team, assisting surgeons by preparing the surgical field, passing instruments and supplies during surgery, maintaining sterile technique, turning over OR rooms, and supporting efficient workflow to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

• Current CST certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR surgical technologist in cardiac surgery.
• Demonstrated strong cardiac surgery skills.
• Ability to provide required licenses and certifications with submission, including driver's license and permanent home address matching ID.
• Candidates must reside greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with thoracic da Vinci robotic procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 06:30–17:00.
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts with on-call as needed.
• Floating required: May float to the main OR as needed.
• Block scheduling: Facility will attempt to accommodate block scheduling.
