Mental Health Specialist I Facility Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center Req #: 78931 Location Corvallis, OR Schedule - Shift 1.0 (80 hrs/pp) - Day Department GSR Mental Health Remote Status OnSite Salary Range $21.98 - $32.27 Job Summary/Purpose Assists in providing outpatient mental health care to patients under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional such as a psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker or psychiatric nurse practitioner. Department Description The Mental Health teams at Samaritan Health Services provide a full range of professional mental health services through a team of highly skilled psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers. Experience/Education/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Child Development or a related field required. Experience working with mental health patients preferred. Qualified Mental Health Assistant experience preferred. Medical Terminology - Knowledge of medical records, procedures and terminology. Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. Social Perceptiveness - Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.
