Maintenance MechanicThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance repairs in a soybean processing facility. They perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment in the plant. Day shift, M-F, ability to work overtime and on-call as needed Pay: $31.33 an hourWhat You'll Be Doing:Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipmentRead and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and servicePerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilityRebuild, repair, and replace damaged, defective, or worn partsPerform mechanical tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinesDiagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust as neededUse a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipmentPerform welding including light fabrication of spouts, transitions, etc. from sheet metal including all positions (Stick, MIG and TIG)Complete emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine serviceDetect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situation to proper supervisionRebuild pumps and gearboxesInspect for conformity to industry standards or specificationsMaintain a safe work environment for self and all employeesParticipate in Bunge's Employee Safety Involvement PlanComply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work areaOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:General troubleshooting and maintenance skillsWelding experience (stick and MIG)Knowledge of bearing installation and clearance settingDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentDemonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environmentGood written and verbal communications skillsMust be proficient in reading, speaking, and writing EnglishPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDExperience with SAP maintenance softwareExperience with PLC and HVACBenefits:Health Benefits – Offering choices so you can enroll in medical, dental and vision plans that meet your individual needs401(k) Retirement Plan – Investing in your future with an automatic 5% company contribution AND matching up to 4% of your contributionsFamily Support – Supporting new and growing families by providing 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave and fertility coverageTuition Reimbursement – after one year of service, eligible for tuition expenses reimbursement of up to $5000 per yearVacation time – We value work-life balance and offer a generous vacation programAt Bunge, our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
