Job description
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and processing outgoing shipments, verifying orders, preparing shipping documents, and ensuring products are accurately and safely prepared for delivery.
Essential Duties
- Prepare and process shipping orders and paperwork.
- Verify products, quantities, and shipping information for accuracy.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments with carriers and warehouse personnel.
- Print shipping labels and required documentation.
- Enter and update shipment information in the computer system.
- Inspect products and packaging before shipment.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect products.
- Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records.
- Assist with loading and staging shipments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety and shipping procedures.
Qualifications
Previous shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift and move materials as required.
