Forensic Accountant

Job Description Major 360 is seeking Forensic Accountants, Sr level Accountants and Auditors to perform forensic audit services for various companies in the St Louis area. Position Requirements BA or BS in Accounting or related field 3 or more years experience. Knowledgable of Generally Accepted Government Accounting Standards (GAGAS) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit procedures. Specific Requirements The audit review andconduct preliminary risk assessments. Review available documents and information in the nature of suspected fraud. Identify key areas of risk and develop a detailed audit plan. Examine financial records, transactions, and documentation. Conduct interviews with relevant personnel. Utilize forensic accounting techniques to detect and analyze fraudulent activities. Trace and reconstruct questionable transactions. Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of existing internal controls. Identify control weaknesses that may have enabled fraudulent activities. Provide a detailed report of findings, including evidence of fraud if specifically identified, the individuals involved, and the financial impact.
