The MST Counselor/Social Worker empowers youth and their families to overcome dynamics that put youth at risk for being removed from their homes. What you’ll do Advocate for clients and their Families based on their developmental needs. Collaborate with admissions and engagement and complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments as needed. Implement interventions that demonstrate respect for sociocultural values, personal goals, lifestyle choices, and complex family interactions within a systemic context. Intervene on behalf of clients taking into account their physical, mental, emotional health and substance use history. Schedule and conduct therapeutic counseling sessions with individuals, families and treatment teams based on cases assigned and at the established acuity for each family. Take appropriate initiatives to manage crisis situations. Utilize evidence based therapeutic practices to support family through individual sessions. Document activities according to OMHAS, Medicaid and Joint Commission standards Provide Crisis Intervention on call as assigned and all duties related to crises Effectively cares for clients within scope of position. You have an active Ohio LSW, LPC, or MFT license You preferably have previous work experience as a Social Worker, Counselor, Therapist, or Clinician. You have an active Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
