Respiratory Therapist RRT

Job Summary:


We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with specialties in Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, Operating Room. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care, case management, and hospice care to individuals facing advancing age, frailty, and serious illness. Daily tasks include patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Critical to this role is strong communication and collaboration with patients, providers, and other team members. At least 2 years of experience and exceptional skill is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in various specialties including Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, and Operating Room.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Manage case management and hospice care for patients with advancing age or serious illness.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and reliable automobile for field work.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in specialized nursing units such as ICU, ER, or Operating Room.
• Advanced certifications related to specialty areas.

Special Considerations:

• Position may float between units as required.
• No on-call duties required.
• Weekend work every other weekend is expected.
• Block scheduling is implemented.
• Patient-to-nurse ratio approximately 1:13.
• 48-hour shifts are not approved.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule includes block shifts with weekend coverage every other weekend.
• Shift assignments may vary depending on unit needs.
