Parking Enforcement Officer

Enforce parking ordinances on foot, bicycle or by vehicle in the downtown central business district and throughout the City Issue citations for violations Assist with traffic control Meet with downtown merchants to hear concerns Provide professional customer service to the public This is a 40 hour workweek position with benefits. A High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of customer service or dispute resolution experience is required; some college-level coursework in criminal justice or a related field is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Licensing Requirements (positions in this class require): Oregon Driver’s License – Class C Law Enforcement Data System Certificate will be required within 90 days of appointment All candidates will be notified of the status of their application after the closing date.
