Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,024 per week

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Worcester, Massachusetts. Job Details Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Evaluate and monitor patients in an ICU setting. Document and provide physician-directed care, assess and implement patient care plans. Delegate to other care providers as appropriate. Provide education and support to patient families. Provide basic bedside care. Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, report adverse reactions. Order and evaluate diagnostic tests. Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work and interpret results. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret and record electronic displays. Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing. Communicate patients' conditions to family members. Additional certifications may be required before assignment. Qualifications 1-2 years recent acute care experience. ACLS, BLS, NIH certification (minimum 2 years). Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, stoop, lift up to 20 pounds; may need to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
