The Associate Project Manager assists the Project Management team in successful execution of projects, from initiation through final closeout, within a matrix style organization. The role supports client satisfaction and large projects in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Support the project manager during all phases of the project including milestone deliverables, documentation, case management, and financial aspects. Develop and deliver monthly status reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal/external stakeholders on an as‑needed basis and drive final customer acceptance milestones including completion of all documentation requirements, such as commissioning, acceptance, and closing financial documentation. Organize and deliver small‑scale projects while managing finance, schedule, change orders, and customers, and coordinate needs with the project and site teams. Identify time‑sensitive project needs. Track resources and project progress, participate in customer meetings, capture notes during all project phases, and drive closure through coordination with field service technicians, customer care team, and vendors. Attend meetings with customer and site teams to update on progress and punch list. Document project events that impact the acceptance schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency, identify solutions and review with the project manager to drive actions to minimize schedule and cost impact, and orientate for field service technicians providing necessary project documentation. Schedule project‑specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation, ensuring personnel scheduled to visit project sites have reviewed documentation prior to the visit. Expedite return of project‑specific mark‑ups during project development and support completion of project‑specific close‑out documentation, driving all aspects of the close milestone processing to achieve timely and clean project quality gates. Work in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers. Qualifications Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED. NICET level II within 18 months. Experience with project management and engineering. Knowledge of fire alarm systems and ability to read basic electrical drawings and customer specifications. Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. Must be 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations, and meet eligibility requirements to participate in the fleet vehicle program. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Construction industry experience. Associate degree in engineering or related field. Technical experience in the commercial fire alarm industry. Knowledgeable in local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations; ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams. Pay Range The pay range for this position is $55,264 – $94,738 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
