Assistant Store Manager - Store

Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

Job Description The Assistant Store Manager works with the store manager to organize, plan, and implement strategies in a Sherwin-Williams paint store. This includes supporting all aspects of store operations: customer service, marketing, merchandising, inventory, finances, and store safety. The role assists in supervising and training staff, contacts customers to generate sales leads, and must work an average of 44 hours per week which may include evenings and/or weekends. The position may also earn a performance‑based bonus. Responsibilities Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service Build and maintain knowledge of all products to make effective customer recommendations Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers Complete store administration Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional packages and sales floor displays Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action Respond to and resolve any customer and/or employee complaints Partner with the Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share Minimum Requirements Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing future sponsorship Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License Must have at least a High School diploma or GED Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion Preferred Qualifications At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service, or completion of a Sherwin‑Williams Management Training Program At least one (1) year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams Previous work experience selling paint and paint‑related products Experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems Associate's degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish Sherwin‑Williams is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding discrimination and fair hiring practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
