Accounting Specialist – Corporate Accounting• In office position in Springfield, MA or Warwick, RIJoin a well-established and growing organization with over 100 years of success in the automotive industry. As part of the corporate accounting team, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of business operations while contributing to the financial integrity of a diverse and expanding organization.Job Description:• Assist with daily accounting operations, including recording transactions and maintaining general ledger activity• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner• Support month-end and year-end close processes across 24 dealerships, 6 collision repair centers, 25+ car wash locations, 2 laundromats, and other entities• Prepare and submit financial statements to OEM and other third parties• Work closely with dealership personnel to ensure accurate financial reporting• Help maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedEnvironmental & Physical Requirements:• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch, lift weight, or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 poundsBenefits Include:• Health, dental, life and disability insurance• 401(k) with company match• Flexible spending accounts• Paid Time-OffSkills & Requirements:• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress, if applicable)• 1-3 years of accounting or relevant internship experience• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data organization)• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines• Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate with team members• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment• Ability to follow established processes while also identifying opportunities for improvement• Experience with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds, or Tekion) is a plus but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr Balise Auto
