Bridge InspectorLocation: Indianapolis, IN Pay Range: $70,000–$95,000 annually Overview A Bridge Inspector is needed to support and eventually lead bridge inspection efforts across Indiana. This role offers a strong mix of field inspections, technical reporting, and cross-discipline coordination, with a clear growth path into a Bridge Inspection Team Leader position. The ideal candidate brings hands-on bridge experience, strong attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a collaborative, safety-focused infrastructure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with onsite bridge inspections in accordance with state and federal guidelinesPerform data collection, documentation, and preparation of bridge inspection reportsManage bridge inspection equipment and coordinate inspection schedules and personnelSupport and eventually lead onsite bridge inspection activitiesCoordinate with roadway, water, environmental, survey, and utility engineering teamsEnsure inspection activities meet quality, safety, and regulatory standardsRequired Skills and Qualifications3 or more years of experience related to bridge design, construction, or maintenanceExperience assisting with or performing bridge inspectionsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to safely traverse uneven terrain and work in field environmentsValid driver's licenseWillingness to travel for bridge inspections, including day and overnight tripsWillingness to pursue Indiana Bridge Inspection Team Leader certificationPreferred SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology from an ABET-accredited institutionEngineer in Training (EIT) certificationLicensed Professional Engineer (PE)Knowledge of INDOT bridge inspection guidelines
