About the Role:
The Guest Service Representative plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and efficient front office environment that enhances the overall guest experience. This position is responsible for managing guest interactions with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring all inquiries and requests are handled promptly and accurately. The role requires effective communication and multitasking skills to manage multiple phone lines and front desk operations simultaneously. Additionally, the Guest Service Representative supports sales initiatives by promoting services and amenities that meet guest needs and contribute to business growth. Ultimately, this role serves as the first point of contact, setting the tone for guest satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in front desk operations or guest service roles.
- Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple phone lines and handle customer inquiries efficiently.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with front office software or reservation systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sales or customer engagement within the hospitality industry.
- Additional language skills beyond English.
- Training or certification in customer service or hospitality management.
- Ability to handle sales promotions and upsell services effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and conflict resolution experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously at the front desk or via phone.
- Manage multiple phone lines to respond to customer inquiries, reservations, and service requests efficiently.
- Provide detailed information about services, promotions, and facilities to guests to enhance their experience and encourage sales.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs accurately while maintaining proper documentation and records.
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment at all times.
