Minimal Call shared with a large collegial group and supported by Cardiology Fellows. Our Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team is based out of our flagship hospital, OSF St. Francis Medical Center, a high-volume quaternary referral center with 642 beds, boasting the following: Comprehensive Advanced Heart Failure program with a fully staffed and busy inpatient service and high-volume outpatient clinic CMS Certified Heart Transplant Program with tremendous growth potential CMS Certified LVAD Program with two Heart Failure surgeons implanting HeartMate 3 ACGME Certified Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship with 9 General Cardiology fellowsand structured resident and medical student rotations. Qualifications Required Qualifications Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state. Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal heath programs. Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable. Preferred Qualifications Recent clinical experience as a Fellow or Attending at a large academic center.
