Overview The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental in the College of Engineering at San Diego State University is accepting applications for part-time lecturer positions. Scope of Responsibilities Temporary appointments may be full‑time or part‑time and are typically made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice. The Fall term begins mid‑August and ends late‑December; the Spring term begins mid‑January and ends mid‑May. Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions may also be available. Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, to be renewed contingent on satisfactory evaluations and continuing availability of work. Areas of Expertise Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering Construction Engineering Construction Management Qualifications Graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or other related fields. University teaching experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the subject field. Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the range.
