Job Title: Territory Manager Location: Myersville, Maryland Starting Compensation Range: This is a sales position eligible for base plus commissions with a probable income of more than $100,000. The final compensation is negotiable and subject to candidate’s experience and skills. What You Will Do: Gather, design, and deploy information, advice, strategies, and actions to effectively earn business revenue and market share from customers in assigned territories and assigned customers Travel to meet with assigned customers and assigned conquest customers to solicit machine purchases Prospect for customers in assigned territory to earn business revenue and increase market share Meet or exceed individual targets for units, revenue, and gross profit Adhere to the Sales Management Process including UCC reconciliation, lost sale reporting, maintaining established planned activity rate (PAR) and managing the sales funnel Provide quotes with credit terms and prepare sales contracts for machine orders Submit accurate expense reports and adhere to company expense policies Meet or exceed criteria for Customer Quality Index (CQI) for assigned accounts Investigate and resolve customer issues in a team environment Process machine demos and loaners according to established company policies and procedures Keep customers informed as to dates, delays, etc. of each new and used machine sale delivery and follow up on all deliveries within 15 days to establish customer satisfaction Prepare territory plan quarterly and review with Regional Sales Manager Ensure no accounts are past due more than 60 days without proper action being taken and work with Finance Manager to resolve Actively participate, as required by management, to help settle all customer disputes within 30 days Work with revenue departments with sales of company products, parts and services to assigned customers Work in coordination with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectives Perform other related duties as assigned What We’re Looking For: Previous outside sales experience, required Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, preferred Self-directed and able to work with limited supervision; capable of developing objectives, setting priorities, and implementing ideas in a timely manner Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships Service existing customers with periodic scheduled visits, and effectively prospect potential new customers Develop and execute effective action plans and handle customer situations to produce results Effective negotiating and closing deals Valid driver’s license Excellent driving record Frequent travel is required – overnight or out town via car or airplane What Success Looks Like In This Role: Interpreting data and making quick decisions Innovation and creativity Quick evaluation of facts; good judgment when making decisions Active listening with excellent written and verbal communication skills Communicating using a telephone and a computer Handling large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment Organization and ability to handle several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines Self-development and adaptability to changing technology Promoting a positive customer experience Upholding the Core Values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence and Teamwork by embracing The Carter Way Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus Competitive Compensation and Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k), $0.75 to $1.25 match up to 6% Life and disability insurance In-house training instructors/programs Employee referral bonus program Tool allowances and tool loans Discounts on cellular phone service, computers, and vehicles Opportunities for overtime Shift differential (if applicable) You’ll gain access to real learning, real advancement, and a real future in a company that’s reshaping what it means to lead in our industry.
