We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory-Purchasing Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for analyzing inventory to determine the optimum amount we should have in stock and to develop and maintain systems to accurately monitor inventory. The goal is reducing the cost to carry inventory by reducing stock levels and optimizing purchases.

 

· Perform daily cycle counts on inventory items.

· Ensure that inventory in Quick Books is the correct amount.

· Clear all inventory negatives and false positives daily.

· Ensure all stock items have the correct amount in inventory in house to support production.

· Manage all plant Kanban systems.

· Manage steel procurement systems.

· Ensure all part numbers have the correct usage value assigned to them.

· Manage delivery of raw material to production through communication with material handlers.

· Receive WIP and stock inventory into QuickBooks as needed.

· Manage the inventory and logistics of parts traveling to and from the galvanizer.

· Responsible for purchasing and keeping stock of assigned items.

Qualifications:

A good understanding of manufacturing processes.

· Familiar with steel gauges.

· Familiar with hardware terminology.

· Familiar with inventory transactions and terms.

· Experience in QuickBooks is a plus.

· Strong analytical skills

· Strong communications skills

$19hr 40hrs/wk 7am to 4pm
