We are looking for a licensed Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia on a Contract basis for an initial three-month assignment. This role focuses on managing a high-volume pre-litigation caseload, driving timely resolutions through direct communication with opposing counsel, and advancing settlements efficiently. The attorney will play a key role in reviewing legal demands, conducting targeted research, and maintaining accurate case progress records while working in a hybrid environment after an initial onsite ramp-up period.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a substantial portfolio of pre-litigation matters and move cases toward timely resolution.
• Review litigation and settlement demands to assess exposure, strategy, and next steps.
• Communicate directly with plaintiff counsel to discuss claims, negotiate terms, and work toward settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research to support case evaluation, negotiation strategy, and decision-making.
• Maintain detailed tracking of case activity, status updates, and outcomes using spreadsheets and SharePoint.
• Consistently advance a high volume of matters with the goal of closing approximately 25 cases per week by mid-September.
• Coordinate case priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting while ensuring deadlines and follow-up items are addressed promptly.

• Active license to practice law in Georgia.

• Demonstrated experience handling pre-litigation matters and settlement negotiations.

• Strong ability to communicate professionally and effectively with opposing counsel.

• Solid legal research skills with the ability to apply findings to case strategy.

• Proven time management and organizational skills in a high-volume caseload environment.

• Experience using SharePoint and spreadsheet-based case tracking tools.

• Availability to work onsite initially, with the flexibility to transition to a hybrid schedule based on performance.
